Teacher stabs to death 9-yr-old Nalanda boy

A government schoolteacher stabbed to death a 9-year-old son following a dispute with his father over a drain at Kadah village under Silao police station area in Nalanda district on Wednesday morning. The deceased, identified as Shafique, was stabbed by Firoz Alam (40) several times with a knife. Police arrested Firoz after registering a case against him. The deceased was the son of Md Siraj Alam.

BIHARSHARIF: A government schoolteacher stabbed to death a 9-year-old son following a dispute with his father over a drain at Kadah village under Silao police station area in Nalanda district on Wednesday morning. The deceased, identified as Shafique, was stabbed by Firoz Alam (40) several times with a knife. Police arrested Firoz after registering a case against him.

The deceased was the son of Md Siraj Alam.
Silao police station SHO Rakesh Kumar said the accused had an old dispute with the father of the deceased over a drain. "We are investigating the matter," he said.
A local resident said the villagers caught and thrashed the accused when he tried to run away from the village after committing the crime. "However, the police rescued him when Kadah ward member Manzar intervened and called them. Firoz is a short-tempered person and used to fight with others over petty issues," he said.
Manzar said the accused originally hails from Gaya district. He is posted at Katrisarai government school. He had built a house at Kadah some seven years ago and was living there
"Soon after being informed about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and brought the critically injured minor to Silao PHC where doctors declared him brought dead," said Nalanda SP Ashok Kumar Mishra.
